Ashburn Pediatric Dental Center is committed to maintaining the safest and healthiest conditions for our patients and staff.

In response to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we would like to assure you that our primary goal is to minimize the risk of exposure to our patients and employees. We strictly adhere to and exceed the standards of infection control by routine use of Universal Precautions which include handwashing, wearing personal protective equipment, using disposable products, and disinfecting all hard surfaces and dental chairs with hospital grade disinfectants.

We have always used Hepa 13 Air filters for our HVAC units in the past. Now we are going above the current CDC guidelines and have also installed state of the art bipolar ionization system to neutralize and easily filter small particles like viruses and mold.

With influenza, Coronavirus and other illnesses on the rise, we kindly ask that you reschedule your family’s appointment if they, or any other family members are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or any other flu-like symptoms.

Patients, parents or employees who are sick or displaying any signs of illness are required to stay home.

We ask that ONLY the patient and ONE healthy parent come in for any visit. We are recommending that you and your child (if possible) wear a mask before you enter our office. Please check in by calling us from the parking lot and we will have you come up once the operatory that you will be using is properly sanitized. This is necessary to avoid crowding in our reception area. Please leave siblings at home if possible.

All office doors will remain open to reduce contact with as many surfaces as possible. Please do refrain from touching surfaces as much as you can to limit your exposure and surface contamination.

Out of concern for our patients and staff members, our office will follow the recommendations and guidelines outlined by the CDC for screening patients at risk for infection. Temperature will be taken for each person, Including office personnel, upon entry to our office and clinical areas.

We respectfully request that you wash your hands upon entry of our office and/or use hand sanitizer upon arrival. For your convenience, disinfecting wipes will be provided for our reception area furniture to be used individually, if you choose.

Bring your own toys/entertainment and leave strollers in your car. Our game rooms and gaming areas will be closed for the time being. We clean our exam rooms and common areas diligently, but we want to limit items to clean.

Patients will be asked to pre-rinse with hydrogen peroxide mouthwash (Peroxyl) to reduce salivary load of potential COVID-19.

We are open and we will notify you of any changes that may occur in the future.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.
